I was born and raised in Guadalajara, Mexico, before moving to Woodland, CA, a small farming community near Sacramento. I attended the University of California, Santa Cruz. I received my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA.

I chose to return to the Santa Cruz area to give back to the community that supported me and my family through difficult times. I’m thrilled to offer my services as a family and cosmetic dentist to residents of Santa Cruz, Watsonville, Aptos, and surrounding communities.

My Dental Care Philosophy

As a dentist, details make all the difference. Dentistry is a profession where even the smallest adjustment can significantly alter the appearance, feel, and function of a smile. That’s why I consider myself both detail-oriented and a bit of a perfectionist. I take the time to make sure every filling fits just right, every crown blends seamlessly, and every smile makeover looks as natural and beautiful as possible.

Being detail-driven also helps me catch minor issues early, whether it’s the start of a cavity, subtle changes in the gums, or bite problems, so we can address them before they become more significant concerns. My perfectionism isn’t about being rigid; it’s about genuinely caring. I treat every smile as if it were my own, and I want my patients to feel confident knowing that I won’t settle for ‘good enough.’

For me, dentistry is not just about fixing teeth; it’s about creating comfort, building confidence, and giving each patient the peace of mind that their smile is in the hands of a skilled and capable professional.

Being a perfectionist in dentistry has really shaped the way I practice and grow as a professional. For me, perfectionism isn’t just about paying attention to details; it’s also about continually striving to improve and deliver the best possible care to my patients. That mindset has led me to constantly research and stay up-to-date with the latest techniques, technologies, and materials in dentistry. When I recommend or provide a treatment, I’ve done the necessary research to ensure it’s the best option for long-term success, comfort, and aesthetics.

That strive for excellence includes expanding my skill set to include the placement of dental implants. By being involved in both the surgical and restorative aspects of treatment, I can design restorations with greater precision and control, ensuring they not only look natural but also function seamlessly. My perfectionism is a strength; it motivates me to go beyond ‘good enough’ and instead focus on results that truly improve my patients’ health, confidence, and quality of life.

My Personal Life

In my spare time, I’m a typical mom of a busy high school boy. Most of my free hours are spent cheering him on from the sidelines or stands, whether it’s Friday night football games, weekend baseball tournaments, or wrestling matches during the season. I love being there for him, supporting his hard work and dedication, and it’s so rewarding to watch him grow through his sports. Between practices, games, and team events, my schedule feels a lot like a full-time sports mom job, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Those moments in the bleachers, whether celebrating wins or learning from tough losses, are among my favorite memories. When I’m not attending one of his events, I enjoy the quieter side of life at home.

My mission has always been to provide care that is not only beautiful and natural-looking, but also functional and long-lasting. Every restoration I design is done with the patient’s health and overall well-being in mind. For me, dentistry goes beyond creating smiles – it’s about improving comfort, confidence, and quality of life.
